On August 8, it was reported by the relevant departments of Jiujiang City that the "ZGC-1 Intelligent Joint Coordinate Measuring Machine," a collaborative project developed by China National Shipbuilding Corporation's 6345 Institute, Hefei University of Technology, and a Canadian company, has successfully passed the appraisal. The product was reviewed at a scientific and technological achievements meeting hosted by the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, where experts unanimously agreed that it fills a domestic gap and reaches international advanced standards.
The ZGC-1 is a multifunctional precision measuring device with multiple degrees of freedom, combining advanced mechanical engineering with optics, electronics, materials science, and computer technology. Historically, China lacked independent intellectual property in this field, leading to full foreign market dominance and high prices, which limited its widespread use in manufacturing industries.
