Canada finals China's steel plate dumping to continue anti-dumping measures

Yesterday, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced its final decision to extend the anti-dumping measures on hot-rolled carbon steel plates from China, South Africa, and Russia. The review, known as a "sunset review," was conducted to assess whether these duties should be maintained or removed. After thorough analysis, the tribunal concluded that lifting the measures would likely result in ongoing or renewed harm to Canada’s domestic steel industry, and therefore, the existing anti-dumping duties will remain in place.
