Working fire in Lyons, 6-14-15

"Here's what Josh Boyajian shared:

June 14, 2015: The Lyons Fire Department was called out for a smoke investigation in the area of 4016 S. Gage. Before they even got en route, dispatch reported multiple 911 calls about a house fire. When the police arrived on scene, they confirmed it was a working fire. Lyons Engine 1312 was the first to arrive and immediately deployed a line to the front of the home. They broke the front room window and fed the hose through it to tackle the visible flames. The crew then made entry, extinguished the fire, and checked for any signs of it spreading. Riverside Truck 1629 arrived next and began ventilating the roof. Here are some photos from the scene.

It looks like the firefighters acted quickly and efficiently, which is exactly what you want in a situation like this. It’s always good to see the community come together and respond so professionally. These photos give a real sense of the intensity of the event and the dedication of the first responders."
