Working fire in Lyons, 6-14-15

On June 14, 2015, the Lyons Fire Department was dispatched for a smoke investigation on S Gage Street, around 4016. Before heading out, dispatch reported multiple 911 calls about a house fire. When police arrived first, they confirmed it was a working fire. Lyons Engine 1312 was the first to arrive and immediately deployed a line toward the front of the house. Firefighters broke a window and fed the hose through it to knock down the visible flames. They then entered the home, extinguished the fire, and checked for any signs of spread. Riverside Truck 1629 was called in to open the roof. Here are some photos from the scene.

It was a fast response, and the firefighters worked quickly to contain the fire before it could spread further. The images show the intensity of the situation, with crews preparing to make entry and control the blaze.
