Autodesk Makes Fusion 360 More Accessible Than Ever

Fusion 360 is now simpler: $25/month for full access, and free for one year with select hardware partners.

At MakerCon in San Francisco today, Autodesk unveiled two major updates to make Fusion 360 more accessible than ever before. These changes are designed to support the future of making by empowering creators, makers, and innovators at every stage of their journey.

Fusion 360 is a cloud-based platform that unifies CAD, CAM, and CAE into one powerful tool. It’s built for the modern design and manufacturing process, offering a seamless experience from concept to production.

One Version, One Price

Starting May 30, all the features once exclusive to Fusion 360 Ultimate will be available in the standard version for just $25 per month with an annual subscription. This includes simulation, animations, 3-axis machining, and more. The new pricing model makes it easier than ever to access advanced tools without breaking the bank.

Fusion 360 remains completely free for students, educators, schools, hobbyists, and startups. We believe that everyone should have the freedom to explore, learn, and build without financial barriers standing in the way.

Free Fusion 360 with Hardware Partners

In addition to the new pricing model, Autodesk is launching a hardware bundling program. Starting today, selected machine vendors will include a free one-year commercial subscription to Fusion 360 with the purchase of their machines.

Modern desktop mills and 3D printers offer incredible power to individual creators. By partnering with these manufacturers, we aim to deliver a fully integrated experience—from design to production. With built-in post processors and machine setup guides, the workflow becomes smoother and more efficient than ever before.

Participating partners include Biobots, BoXZY, CNCRouterParts, MYDIYCNC, OMAX, Other Machine, Pocket NC, Printrbot, Type A Machines, and Tormach. These range from consumer-grade 3D printers to high-end CNC machines, even ones capable of printing biological structures like human ears.

The message is clear: manufacturing is evolving, and so is the software that powers it. With the new $25/month plan, you get everything you need for professional use. If you buy a machine from one of our partners, you’ll get a year of free access. And if you're a student or startup, you still get it for free.
