Water rescue in Rosemont, 8-6-19

A serious accident occurred in Rosemont on Tuesday evening when a vehicle plunged into a creek, leaving two people injured. Local police received a 911 call just after 5:45 p.m., reporting a car submerged near River Road and Glenlake Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found two adults inside the vehicle, which had ended up flipped upside down in the water.
Emergency responders worked quickly to extract the individuals from the car. They were carefully secured onto backboards before being lifted from the embankment and transported to street level. The injured were then taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims or the extent of their injuries.
