The price of imported natural rubber has exceeded the bearing capacity of most tire manufacturers, which has brought great pressure on China's tire companies. China's imports of natural rubber continue to maintain high prices, the price once climbed to the highest value of 40,000 yuan / ton. At present, the price is maintained at around 3.2 to 34,000 yuan/ton. Yantai Inspection and Quarantine Bureau found that there are two main reasons for the high price of imported rubber. The price of auto parts, one of the auto parts production companies, and the shortage of raw materials caused by the rapid increase in production capacity. Taking the jurisdiction of this bureau as an example, a total of 4,130 batches of tires were exported from January to May, an increase of 15.7% year-on-year. The consumption of natural rubber is about 15,000 tons per month. It is estimated that the annual consumption will reach about 180,000 tons, an increase of 20% over the same period of last year. In addition, some companies that originally produced other rubber products, or even rubber-derived chemical products, also turned to tires. The conflict between the surge in rubber consumption and the reduction in raw materials stimulated the soaring of rubber prices.
