St. Charles General Alarm, 5-16-14
From John Tulipano:
At approximately 1:20 PM today (May 16, 2014), TriComm received a call for a reported fire at 1612 Ronzheimer in St. Charles. A general alarm was dispatched, and the first arriving units arrived on scene only to find nothing visible. I arrived about five minutes later, and by that time, the crews were already in the process of deploying a second line and forcing entry into the garage. The fire was quickly brought under control, and a small dog was rescued from the area.
It’s always unsettling to respond to a fire call with no visible signs of smoke or flames, but it shows how fast the crews reacted. The garage door had to be cut open, and it was clear the fire was contained to a small area. Fortunately, no one was injured, and the pet was safely recovered.
