On Tuesday afternoon, March 21, 2017, firefighters and police from Buffalo Grove were called to the intersection of Lake Cook Road and Buffalo Grove Road following a two-car collision involving a reported "pin-in" situation. Upon arrival, emergency crews stabilized one vehicle that had knocked down a traffic signal and successfully removed the driver, who was then taken to a local hospital by Buffalo Grove Ambulance 26. The second car's occupant was evaluated by Long Grove paramedics but did not require transport.
