First quarter auto parts export growth
In the first quarter of this year, domestic auto parts exports reached 13.2 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 17%, with a surplus of 5.5 billion U.S. dollars, of which the automobile tire surplus reached 3.1 billion U.S. dollars; the same period imported 7.6 billion U.S. dollars, or 5%.
This year, auto parts importers are concentrated in Japan, Germany, and South Korea. The three countries account for 75% of total imports. In 2011, auto parts exports were mainly from the United States, Japan, and South Korea. The three countries accounted for 43%.
