The direct-acting pressure regulating valve, specifically the ZMHN type, operates without requiring any external energy source or additional operating medium. As the spool moves upward, the flow area increases again until the regulated pressure matches the set value. The valve directly controls the pressure by adjusting the signal, ensuring that the pressure before the valve is reduced to the desired level. On the other hand, when the pressure in the diaphragm chamber acts effectively, it generates a force that pushes the valve core toward the seat, gradually closing the passage and reducing the flow cross-section until the pressure before the valve rises back to the set value.
