An oil seal, also known as a rotary shaft seal, is often referred to as a grease, fluid, or dirt seal. It is an essential part of any rotating or moving component assembly. Oil seals close the spaces between stationary and moving components in mechanical equipment. An oil seal typically consists of three basic components: The Sealing Element (the nitrile rubber part), the Metal Case, and the Spring. It is a widely used sealing component.
