Chery's first SUV prototype released 0.8 litre QQ next year
On December 18, 2003, Anhui Chery Automobile Company made a significant move in the automotive industry by unveiling its first SUV sample, the 0.8-liter QQ Next. This development marks Chery's strategic expansion into the SUV market, aiming to introduce a multi-functional off-road vehicle next year from its production base. The company is broadening its product lineup, moving from mini vehicles to more versatile models like SUVs.
According to reports, this new off-road vehicle, tentatively named T11, is equipped with a 2.4-liter aerospace engine from Mitsubishi, promising strong performance. The front of the car features the Chery logo prominently placed, while the design of the headlights and tail lights suggests a crystal-like, multi-reflection style, giving the vehicle a modern and striking appearance. The smooth curves on the rear give the T11 a more sedan-like feel, blending the characteristics of an off-road vehicle with those of a comfortable family car.
The overall design is dynamic, with clean and simple curves that reflect both functionality and style. It’s clear that the T11 is designed to appeal to consumers looking for a vehicle that offers both ruggedness and comfort. While details about the interior are still under wraps, it’s reported that the internal release is meant to help engineers better understand the technical specifications and refine both the design and production process.
It is expected that the official launch of the T11 will take place in June or July of the following year. In addition to the T11, Chery is also working on a new 0.8-liter version of the QQ for 2004. This updated model may see some changes in standard features compared to the 2003 version. For example, central locking systems, high-mounted brake lights, and electric windows may no longer be standard, while electric side mirrors could be replaced with manual ones.
These adjustments suggest that Chery is positioning the new QQ for the mini-car segment in the coming year, with the SAIC-GM-Wuling Chevrolet Spark as a direct competitor. By reducing costs without compromising performance, Chery aims to maintain a competitive edge in the micro-car market, making the new QQ a key player in the upcoming competition.
CB-2333 Silicone Leveling Agent
CB-2333 silicone Leveling Agent is a polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane copolymer, a representative silicone slippery, wear-resistant, and leveling additive. It has high compatibility and can be used in UV radiation curing systems, solvent-based systems and water-based systems. The most outstanding feature of this product is to reduce the friction coefficient and increase the smoothness of the coating film surface, which is very helpful in improving scratch resistance and anti-adhesion. In addition, this product has an express leveling effect, which can improve fluidity and gloss without affecting recoating performance. Suitable for pigmented systems, matte oils, varnishes.
