Here’s some more history from the personal collection of Joseph Salerno about the Cicero Fire Department:
These are some special memories for me. I grew up in the neighborhood, and these photos bring back a lot of great moments. This picture shows me at just six months old (1970) sitting on the hook and ladder — it's a cherished memory. There's also a newspaper clipping showing a damaged fire truck, which was the one my grandfather was thrown off of during an emergency call. I believe it was a Seagrave — a powerful and iconic brand in the fire service.
