Autodesk First to Bring Computer-Aided Manufacturing to the Cloud
LAS VEGAS – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Autodesk, Inc. has officially launched Autodesk CAM 360, the first cloud-native computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) solution designed to revolutionize the way manufacturers work. This groundbreaking tool is built on the power of the cloud, offering users a seamless blend of collaboration, data sharing, and flexibility that was previously unimaginable in traditional CAM environments.
With CAM 360, users can now access powerful machining tools from anywhere, at any time. The platform enables real-time communication with colleagues and clients, significantly speeding up project turnaround times. It also breaks down the barriers of conventional desktop-based workflows, allowing for multi-platform CNC programming that adapts to evolving needs.
One of the key advantages of CAM 360 is its integration with Autodesk’s HSM technology, which has already proven to enhance efficiency across the entire supply chain. By reducing delays caused by even small time differences in production, companies can now respond more quickly to challenges and maintain tighter control over their manufacturing processes.
As part of Autodesk’s broader cloud strategy, CAM 360 complements other industry-leading solutions such as Autodesk PLM 360, Sim 360, and Fusion 360. Together, these tools form a complete digital prototyping ecosystem, empowering users to move from concept to reality with greater ease and precision.
Robert “Buzz†Kross, Senior Vice President at Autodesk, highlighted the significance of this launch: "From PLM 360 to Sim 360 and now Fusion 360, we’ve been pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the cloud. With CAM 360, we’re delivering the final piece of the puzzle—bringing manufacturing into the cloud era."
Unlike traditional standalone CAM systems, CAM 360 offers an integrated experience that leverages the full potential of Autodesk’s Digital Prototyping platform. This includes advanced modeling capabilities from Fusion 360, making it easier than ever to design and manufacture complex parts.
CAM 360 is set to be available in select markets next year. For those interested in learning more or experiencing the platform firsthand, visit www.cam.autodesk.com.
Autodesk continues to lead the way in helping professionals imagine, design, and create a better world. Whether you're an engineer, architect, artist, student, or hobbyist, Autodesk software empowers you to bring your ideas to life.
