Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has successfully introduced an innovative option for its gear hobbing machine model "GE15A," featuring an integrated cutting device housed within the machine's body. This advanced system was launched on August 8, 2007, marking a significant step forward in machining efficiency. After the hobbing process is completed, it's essential to remove burrs that form during the operation and to chamfer the gear end faces one by one. Traditionally, this required a separate cutting machine, which not only increased the overall footprint but also added complexity to the production line.
The new integrated cutting device eliminates this need by incorporating the cutting process directly into the hobbing machine, streamlining the workflow. By synchronizing the hobbing and cutting operations, the system enhances productivity without compromising quality.
