China's first full-scale vehicle dump truck off the assembly line

In January 2013, China's first self-developed dump truck equipped with a carbon fiber composite car was rolled off the road in Baotou, Inner Mongolia. The car had a length of 8.6 meters, a load of 50 tons, a weight of 4.8 tons, and a weight reduction of 29% compared with the metal car. This is the first successful application of composite materials in domestic heavy trucks, which means that new breakthroughs have been made in the application technology of composite materials in the automotive lightweight field.
