According to the American "Car Weekly" report, Audi's official spokesman Brad Stertz announced on Friday that the president of Audi America, John Deness, officially resigned to prepare for another development. Prior to the new president’s appointment, Marc Dale Russo, the Operations Director, managed the day-to-day affairs of Audi USA. This decision takes effect immediately.

The sudden resignation of Denes Chen came at a time when the development of Audi USA was in full swing. In May, Audi's sales in the United States reached 11,503 units, a 10% increase from the previous period, setting a record high for the same period and the best sales in five months. It is said that Audi’s May sales announcement meeting on Friday also mentioned Denes Chen. His announcement of resignation surprised many people.

In December 2004, John Denes Chen, 52, began as president of Audi America, and also held senior positions in Japan and his native South Africa. For eight years, John Deness Chen has witnessed the rise of Audi's brand awareness in the United States and its strong sales growth. At the same time, Audi became a sponsor of the US Rugby Super Cup. According to Audi, in the context of the economic crisis, its share of the US luxury car market still increased by 4.2 percentage points to 9.5% last year.

John also deliberately left a letter of demission to his employees. He said in his letter that he never thought about leaving Audi and what his own world would become.
