The Woodstock Fire District, serving Division 5 in McHenry County, operates three fire stations covering over 86 square miles. The district employs a mix of paid and part-time staff to maintain a high level of service. Each station is equipped with an ambulance, and Station 1 houses a 105′ Pierce Arrow XT quint. Stations 2 and 3 each have a Pierce engine, a tanker, and a brush unit. Notably, Station 2 is home to two antique fire apparatus that have yet to be photographed. Additionally, Hazmat 5, which serves both Divisions 4 and 5, is based at Station 1.

The design of the fire stations varies slightly. Station 2, located on Dean Street, follows the same basic layout as the other stations but has three bays instead of two, while Station 3 only has two bays. Both Stations 2 and 3 feature drive-thru bays for efficient vehicle access.

The latest additions to the fleet include a 2009 Pierce Arrow XT engine and a matching 105′ RM aerial ladder truck, both of which are used at Station 1. These modern vehicles help ensure the district can respond effectively to a wide range of emergencies, from fires to technical rescues.
